Card Holder Tutorial and a Kitten Update. :)

Cheap folders make cute little card holders and are a great way to store cards.  A card set in one of these makes a sweet homemade gift too.  I just picked up a stack of these folders on sale for a penny a peice with the back to school sales!  🙂

Step One: Cut the edges of your folder.

You can use a pencil to mark where to cut, but I just went for it. When done it should look something like this:

Step Two: Fold the top portion of the folders down like envelopes.

Step Three: Punch a hole in the side of the folder to add a ribbon to. Repeat this step on both sides of the folder.

Step Four: Tie a small piece of ribbon to one side of the folder with most of the ribbon hanging out the outside edge. Repeat this step on the other side. It should be so that the two sides of the folder have ribbon to tie them together and hold the folder closed. 🙂

Step Five: Embellish the Folder as desired. You can also make matching cards for it. 🙂 For mine I used a stamp set by Queen Kat Stamps.

And of course I had to add a quick update of my personal inspiration for choosing this stamp. Here is “Firecracker”. His name fits him well…the stamp reminds me of this playful lil’ monster too. lol! And yes “Firecracker” is his name these days. He will hopefully be going up for adoption soon…

I love the tutorial! I have just started making cards, and haven’t known how to store them.
